This is the story of my project to build a model of each type of aircraft operated by 800 Naval Air Squadron since its formation. I think there are 20 of them. I could be wrong.

So, of course we’ll start with a different scale. This is the 1/48th Airfix kit of the Spitfire FR Mk. 47 of 800NAS, as deployed aboard HMS Triumph in 1950 during the Korean War. Dad certainly would have shoved this about the flight deck.
He can shove it around his room now, as it was a present for him.
